55 hour modular IR (A)

Entry requirements:

Class rating training complete
ATPL or IR theory exams passed
50 hours cross country, with 10 hours A/C
Over 18 years old
Hold a class 1 or 2 medical
Hold a valid Night Qualification

50 hour modular IR (A)

Entry requirements:

As for 55 hour IR (A) modular course
Hold a valid ICAO or JAA CPL
Have completed a JAA CPL training course and passed the CPL LST

The student should allow between 6 to 8 weeks for completion of the above courses.

15 hour modular IR (A)


Entry requirements:

Class rating training complete
Hold a valid ICAO instrument rating

The student should allow 2-4 weeks for the completions of the course.

A multi-engine course must be completed before starting the multi-engine Instrument Rating. The Bristol Flying Centre offers the IR at the rates indicated below. All prices are inclusive of VAT.

The IR and CPL may be taken in either order.

50 hour Instrument Rating Course

15 hours PA 34T Seneca
Package Rate £10,865

Option 2

Simulator Training in type specific PA 34-200T Seneca 25 hours
25 hours PA 34T Seneca
Package Rate £11,780

IR Conversion - Based on minimum 15 hours

Option 1

10 Hours Simulator
5 Hours PA34 £3,550

Option 2

0 Hours Simulator
15 Hours PA34 £5,250

NB: These prices are based on the minimum number of hours required to obtain this rating.

All IR package prices include VAT, 170A test fee and landings/approaches.

CAA test fee of £691 and solo hire for test not included in package rate.

Bristol Flying Centre operates a "Pay as you Fly" policy, so you never have to pay for an entire course upfront.

Please note that all prices are subject to the course being completed in the minimum hours. Extra hours are charged as per the Hourly Rates. Aircraft training (incl solo hire) is billed at airborne + 0.2.
