About

Bristol Flying Centre has been through many changes over the years. The company began by offering training for the Private Pilots Licence, but the professional Flight Training courses have since overtaken and we now provide first class training across the board, achieving pass rates which continually reinforce our excellent reputation. With the addition of BFC Engineering, our Handling & Fuel facilities and Aircraft Management services Bristol Flying Centre has become one of the most recognised names in the aviation industry.

The company was founded by Martin Barnes in 1987, and many of the staff have been with BFC almost since the beginning. Our Engineering Manager, Pat Wagstaff, is one of the longest serving and manages a dedicated team of 8 engineers providing primary maintenance for home based operator and remote JAR-OPS1 operators, as well as supporting one of the busiest PA34 training fleets in the UK. Gary Thomas, our Operations Manager, heads the Operations desk, a team of 3 Ops staff and 2 refuellers/ground handlers. Geoff Peet is responsible for Sales & Marketing, and can help with all your Flight Training enquiries. For finance issues relating to customer or supplier accounts you can speak to Sarah Waters Jones or Hollie Fell. If these are Engineering account matters, you can direct these to Claire Bigouret.
